Alferd G. Packer’s grave is located in Littleton Cemetery, which is located in the Denver suburb of Littleton, Colorado. Packer was an Old West prospector and self-proclaimed wilderness guide who became infamous in history as a notorious cannibal.
We visited Packer’s grave in the early summer of 2017. It is quite easy to find and close to the main cemetery gate and city street running along the cemetery. The most striking thing about this grave is the sheer number of pennies and rocks that have been placed on the grave.

- The 1993 film, “Cannibal the Musical”, a black comedy horror film about Alfred Packer, was written and produced by Trey Parker and Matt Stone of South Park fame. Trey Parker stars in the film as Packer.
- Rather than shying away from the legend, Colorado has embraced Packer and his infamous history. An example of this is the Alfred Packer Restaurant & Grill, which is located on the campus of the University of Colorado at Boulder.
