David Spanbauer was a serial rapist and murderer originally from Oshkosh, Wisconsin who abducted and kidnapped two young girls and killed a young woman during a crime spree in the mid 1990’s. He also sexually assaulted at least 2 other women in their homes and attempted other break-ins and abductions. Spanbauer never expressed a shred of remorse for his crimes and was actually called “pure evil” by the judge who sentenced him to three life terms plus 403 years without the possibility of parole. Spanbauer was only in prison eight years before he died at age 61 from natural causes. He is buried in Cattaraugus Cemetery near Waupun, Wisconsin along with many other prisoners of the Wisconsin State Correctional System.
